Let's see how you can do it! [Kyra](https://blog.cooltix.com/en/author/kyra) Oct 26, 2026 --- The holidays are approaching, so it's time to sell even more tickets and reach new customers! When planning your year-end marketing, focus on your target buyer. If your event appeals to children, for example, think about how you can present your event as a gift experience for families. Even in this period, yours isn't the only event selling tickets. So you need unique ideas that stand out from the crowd and capture the attention of potential attendees. Here's how you can promote your event's tickets as gifts, turning them into the perfect holiday surprise! ### Plan ahead It's worth filling your event calendar for the first quarter of the new year, since this period will be the most attractive for those who want to give tickets as gifts. This gives potential ticket buyers a chance to look through the options and find the perfect tickets for the person they want to give them to. Planning is critical in another respect, too. Those involved need to free up the date, otherwise the tickets go unused. That's why gift vouchers, as well as tickets that can be redeemed for multiple dates, are the best choice. Aim to offer such options to your buyers! ![A team planning with sticky notes on a table](https://blog.cooltix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/elmeny_1.png?width=2394&height=1525&name=elmeny_1.png) ### Create a holiday package Everyone loves extras, so make sure your offer is generous. You can achieve this by adding extra items to the tickets/gift vouchers purchased. Some tried-and-true ideas are stickers, posters, keychains, baseball caps, and T-shirts. Digital books and music are also great add-ons and can be offered as online downloads. Bigger bonus gifts can include priority entry, free drink menus, pre-premiere seats, and access to exclusive areas. ### Offer holiday discounts Encouraging buyers with a discount offer is a tactic that often works. Depending on the price category, you can offer a fixed or proportional promotion, for example X HUF or 20% off. Consider the different options for boosting sales. - Early Bird tickets. - Discount codes. If you have multiple events, you can match the holiday mood by offering a new discount on every day of Advent. That way your followers will keep an eye on your social media channels to find out what offer they can get that day. - Flash sales. These short-term sales encourage buyers to act quickly and buy, whether because of limited availability or the discounted price. ### Create gift vouchers When giving gifts, everyone wants to see the joy on their loved ones' faces. Whether it's an e-voucher or a printed gift card, think about how you can turn your event tickets into an attractive surprise. Luckily, [Cooltix gift vouchers](https://cooltix.hu/b/ajandekutalvany) make your job easier! With them, your buyers can delight someone with a unique surprise: after redemption, the voucher can be used for any event advertised on Cooltix for 6 months. This way they can give the gift of attending a party, concert, festival, or museum visit: the final decision is up to the recipient. ### Notify your past customers Don't forget to make use of your existing database. Your email list contains the email addresses of all your past buyers, which is a great marketing opportunity. Promote your holiday offers this way too! ![Experience as a gift: gift box with confetti, Cooltix graphic](https://blog.cooltix.com/hs-fs/hubfs/elmeny_2.png?width=2394&height=1525&name=elmeny_2.png) ### Summary As the end of the year approaches, use every opportunity to boost your ticket sales!
